The Hong Kong Security Association was founded in 1984 and is the Association representing security companies holding a security license issued by the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority.

External

We Shape Policies, Standards, and Regulations: As the official representative and advisory body of the security industry, we actively collaborate with the Government, Police, Labour Department, and other non-Government organizations. Together, we work towards shaping policies, standards, and regulations that safeguard the industry’s interests. For instance, through our lobbying efforts, we have successfully improved the passing rate for gun licenses under the Type I and II security company license by pinpointing common errors and raising awareness about the proper procedures. Additionally, we have strived for the acceptance of reasonable address proof for the SPP application, benefiting both applicants and guarding companies.
We Share Invaluable Knowledge: We maintain regular and close contact with various Government Departments, enabling us to share invaluable knowledge and the latest information that impacts our industry.
Elevating Professionalism Across the Board: We actively promote the significance of training and self-regulation, raising the bar for security professionalism.
